It is with great sadness that the family of Donald ”Don” Fredrick Baumbach announces his passing of complications from MS on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 64 years. Don will be lovingly remembered by his soul mate and pride of 19 years Lisa; children Kevin (Jenna) Ross, Sheniel (Josh) Ross, Kayliegh Baumbach, Minota-Jean (Mark) Kennell, Thomas (Jennifer) Baumbach and Finley Baumbach; grandchildren Kaleb, Autumn, Alex, Nicholis, Asher, Nash, Hazel Victoria, Amelia, Julia, Mathias-Alexander, Vance, Danielle; sister Joan (Greg) Cote as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Don was predeceased by his parents Fred and Inez Baumbach of Medicine Hat. Don was born and raised in Medicine Hat. He enjoyed numerous activities in the great outdoors such as hiking, camping, long road trips and his true passion was fly fishing. He was a devoted man to his family and friends. He worked as a Correctional Service Worker in Calgary at the Young Offenders Centre. During this time he touched the lives of many youths and their families. He was a man of few words but his family and friends know if he could pass on one last word of advice it would be “Do what is right, do what is good, be kind and help others. This world can always use more kind people.” Don you will be missed and loved forever. Celebration of Don’s Life was held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Heartland Funeral Services Chapel.
