1953 – 2018
Mrs. Carol May Houcher of Amisk, Alberta passed away on June 18, 2018 at the age of 65 years. Carol was born in Stettler, Alberta to Issie and Robert Robinson and lived in and around Stettler and Innisfail areas until completing high school in 1972. Carol worked at the Alberta School Hospital in Red Deer before working in the Forestry in Enderby, B.C. for a number of years. Carol had her first daughter in 1974 and met her husband Robert Houcher in 1975. They were married in the next year and the second daughter was born in 1978 and the third daughter in 1992. They moved from Innisfail to Amisk in 1996 and lived there until her passing. All of her life Carol was a volunteer. She volunteered at various places like the library and managing the Innisfail Farmer’s Market.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her husband Robert Charles Houcher and her daughters: Corrie (Sean) Eves of Calgary, Jodie (Dale) Wrigley of Didsbury and Alina Houcher of Amisk and by her five grandchildren: Graham, Gina, Tyler, Samantha and Elizabeth. She is also survived by her mother Issie Robinson and her sister Beryl (Ralph) Knight and her brother Douglas Robinson and numerous family and friends.
Carol was predeceased by her father Gordon Robinson and brother Gilbert Robinson, mother and father in law Mabel and John Houcher.
A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch# 104 on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
