Marie Yvette Roe March 6, 1927-November 18, 2018

Marie Yvette Roe was born to Arthur and Louise Letourneau on March 6th, 1927, the youngest of eight children. She was born in Edam, Saskatchewan and came to Alberta with her parents at the age of eighteen. In 1949, she met her life partner Willis (Bud) Roe and they were married on February 14th, 1950. In 2007, she lost her beloved husband after fifty seven years together. Marie continued living in the little home they bought on Shannon Drive in 1995, after moving from a small acreage on the east side of Olds, where they lived for forty five years and raised their family. She was a dedicated member of St. Stephens C.W.L. and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #105, Ladies Auxiliary. Marie’s greatest joy was having her family together at home. Marie passed away peacefully with a beloved daughter by her side, in the Olds Hospital, November 18, 2018 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Bud, and her beautiful granddaughter Emma Roe. Marie will be lovingly missed so much by her five children, Norman (Julie) Roe; Lorelle (Terry) Kreese; Russell (Donna) Roe; Darla Kinsella; Brent Roe(Pascal Lefebvre); eleven precious grandchildren, Chris Roe, Jeff (Kerri) Roe, Michael (Tara) Kreese, Greg (Stephanie) Kreese, Tiffany (Joe) Faught, Kevin (Brianna) Kreese, Robert Kreese, James Kreese, Katlynn and Ty Kinsella, and Alexandra (Japeth) Roe. Missing their precious GG is her thirteen great grandchildren, Addison and Merric Roe; Michael Jr, Cali, Emma and Colt Kreese, Mylo and Avia Kreese, Rylee, Hudson and Jasper Faught, Mason and Carter Kreese. She will also be missed by her very close and special friend, George Hamblin. Funeral Mass was held Friday November 23, 2018 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at the Olds Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Olds.
